Penguinart.net - Online Comic Cower before your Penguin Overlord! http://www.penguinart.net/ All this stuff belongs to me Arctic Golf

UPDATE: It has been.. well .. ages singe i have put a new comic up. I will get around to it, but for now, check out some wedding photos & stuff at my Wife's website Jessica Brunton.com.

Hi

Well, it has been ages and I have finally uploaded a new comic, on a thursday no less! I am still unsure of how often I can upload comics, but I will try to keep it up. I am still really busy with heaps going on for me right now.

This weeks comic was in the works for a while, I just didn' tget around to making it. I don't usually play golf, but when I do I usually lose my ball. I was shocked one day to find a green golf ball. Admittedly it was bright green but still a green golf ball has got to be harder to find on a green golf course than the standard white.

Anyway, enough random ramblings from me. Some more people have bought T-shirts, so thanks heaps! I still want to create some more but at this stage I am not sure what to put on them. I will come up with something. Stay posted

Later

Ro http://www.penguinart.net/?p=50 http://www.penguinart.net/comic/20071108.gif Wedding Stuff

Hi All

This comic is a week late... and I'm sorry. I have been busily planning wedding stuff. We finally have a date and a venue!

This weeks comic marks a new milestone. This is the first real multi-panel comic I have done.

Anyone who has planned a wedding will know exactly how true this comic is! Anyone who hasn't, just trust me, you mention the word wedding and suddenly the same things cost 10 times as much.

Enough whining from me. The APEC summit in Australia has finished and with only a minor interuption from one of Australia's funniest comedy teams. What I find amazing about this is that the Australian authorities have been fast to condemn the Chaser guys but have not even acknowledged that there is a massive problem with theur security if a fake motorcade with a guy dressed as Osama bin laden can get through 2 security points and to the front of President George Bush's Hotel.

Anyway. It is hilarious, check it out.

Anyway, that's all for this week

Later
Ro

Update:

Wedding ended up being fine , even though our venue... Adamshurst Restaurant & Function Centre Albury double booked and told us to bugger off (not in those words). Luckily we found another venue and ended up having a great time.

If you clicked the link above, and got a little confused, here is an explination... Adamshurst neglected to buy the .com domain, just the .au, so I put my own website on the .com :)

Enjoy! http://www.penguinart.net/?p=49 http://www.penguinart.net/comic/20070916.gif Kittenz

Hi all

Busy week as usual for me, being the end of the month I had a heap of work to do, and the combination of me being sick, our all expenses payed "working" holiday, and some meetings/presentations in the last few days, I have found myself with barely any time to finihs my work. Somehow I managed though, but I will need to check things out on monday just to make sure I haven't missed a huge chunk of it somewhere!

Aside from work, My... FIANCE.. just found an interesting and disturbing website The video on the homepage explains it all! which brings me to my next little snippet of news...

It only took 7 or so years, but I have finally asked Jess to marry me and we are now engaged!

To tell the truth... I don't feel any different, I certainly don't feel more mature, but I do feel very happy!

Anyway, enough of this, to the comic! Now I have nothing against these pics of cats with cute misspellings, infact I love cats and one of the main reasons I am looking at buying property in the next few months is to stop renting so I can have cats! I just think I have seen so many of these photos that I am getting a bit jaded of the whole "I'm In UR blah, Stealing UR blah" kind of thing. I say bring on more fart jokes, we haven't had enough of them lately!

And on that note,
Overlord Out http://www.penguinart.net/?p=48 http://www.penguinart.net/comic/20070902.gif Wishes

Hi All

Well here is the long awaited (by Adam.. and 1 or 2 others) comic 47! I came down with a pretty nasty cold or flu the week before last, the same week I was meant to be heading up to the north of Australia to enjoy some sun, surf, & snorkelling at the great barrier reef!

In the end (2 hours before my flight), I decided I had recovered enough to make the flight, so I rcoked up to the plane in a very rough shape, unshaven, wearing my slippers & tracky pants. From that point on, things improved, but very slowly.

The resort was an "all inclusive" place and so they had an open bar from 10am to 2am every day... and here was me with a terrible cough, barely able to hold down a glass of apple juice and looking like a terrorist. Needless to say there were no long Island Ice Teas for me.

I must admit I had it better than one of the poor guys I went with. He had pretty much the same condition as me, and had also decided at the last minute to come. He on the other hand was not quite as recovered as he thought. Half way trhough the holiday, he got worse and ended up being flown off the Island by helicopter with fluid on the lungs and a posible collapsed lung! Get well soon Mat! And because of the collapsed lung he was not allowed to fly home, so he spent 2 & a bit days getting home by train. Poor bugger.

But this brings me to my comic. I was unable to stomach alcohol, but I had to get rid of this cough, so I bought cough medicine. The pharmacist listened to my cough once an dpassed me the heavy duty stuff "Chesty Mucus Cough". To their credit, the real cough medicine was "peach flavor" and though I wouldn't describe it as either "Peach" or "flavor" it is certainly much better than I have portrayed it in the comic.

Anywaym I now have a bit of a niggling cough but not much else. So I think I am on the mend.

Enjoy the comic and to the weirdo who commendted last week.. keep the tech support questions coming :)

Later
Ro http://www.penguinart.net/?p=47 http://www.penguinart.net/comic/20070826.gif Firefighters

Hi All

I know, it was slack to not put up a comic, or at least a message saying that there would be no comic last week but unfortunately the way I have created this website is that my messages coincide with a comic. SO no comic, no message, which makes it hard to put up any notice.

I have a lot going on right now, including some projects I am keeping hush hush at the moment. I will reveal all as they become public but at this stage you will simply have to wait a nd wonder what strange new ideas are churning around my head.

Dad just bought his highly anticipated sports car on the weekend, and I was lucky enough to get to drive it for a bit. It is a mazda mx5 (not new), and as much as I liked it, it was pretty low to the ground and Dad is getting on in years so... good luck getting in and out of it dad!!

In other news, I am going to Queensland for the first time ever! I am looking forward to it as I have not really travelled within Australia. I do like the country and want to see more of it, but it just seems that whenever I have time off a trip overseas seems like a more exciting option.

So I will finally see something of Queensland, though not alot I would imagine, because we are going to a resort which is pretty secluded. Nevermind though, a few days of rest and relaxation sounds great!

I will be getting back on a saturday night, so hopefully I will have a comic on the Sunday. No promises though.

That's all from me
Ro http://www.penguinart.net/?p=46 http://www.penguinart.net/comic/20070805.gif Tunnel of Mystery

Hi

This week I went to a cat show in Melbourne to check out the cats there. It is a bit of a long term thing, but eventually after we buy our house, settle in etc, we ar elooking to get some cats.

As much as I like the idea of getting kittens from the vet (abandonned kittens), my previous 2 cats (elly & voltron) were from the vets and though I love them dearly, they were not exactly normal. Elly especially... I don;t think she was handled well when she was little and so she is a bit messed up.

After being at this cat show and seeing all the cats behaving so well considering the noise and attention they were getting, it made me think that getting a cat from a breeder will ensure that they were treated well during those oh so important younger weeks and will be happier around people, friendlier etc than i could otherwise expect.

At this stage I really want burmese.. like these There were some other really nice cats there that I found really interesting. If you have time, check out bengal cats and Egyptian Mau. These are both really big cats, and though I would love either of them, I don't think I would have space for them.

I got to talk to some breeders, and if anyone is interested in getting a cat, I would certainly seek out a repuable breeder because these people are passionate about their cats, dogs or whatever they breed.

Enjoy the comic and look forward ot this iwebsite being taken over by cute kitten pictures in the not too distant future

Later
Ro http://www.penguinart.net/?p=45 http://www.penguinart.net/comic/20070722 Aliens

Hi peoples

I have been busy this weekend, as my parents finally visited me. They were waiting for a weekend that was not too rainy so they could bring down my furniture, and wouldn't you know it, Melbourne has had regular rains for the last few weeks.

Not that I am complaining. I am actually rally happy that it is finally raining. We have fallen on some pretty hard times in terms of water. I know where my parents live there are some pretty stric water restrictions going on righ now.

There has been lots of talk recently (in Australia anyway) about global warming and climate change. Recently there was a documentary saying that the green house effect is natural, and that the release oc carbon dioxide into our atmosphere does not effect the tempreture etc etc.

I am not about to argue either way. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. Personally I believe it does but that is irrelevant. In the end, it is not a good thing to pollute the planet, and any efforts we can make to reduce that pollution, be it not wasting electricity, finding environmentally friendly engery solutions or any other measures should be encouraged. And I am talking about for Business, industry and us humble workers.

Anyway, enough of my ranting, enjoy this weeks comic, I will enjoy finally having a computer desk, and look forward to another comic next week.

Later
Overlord Ro http://www.penguinart.net/?p=44 http://www.penguinart.net/comic/20070715.gif Light It Up

Hi everyone

Unfortunately I have not much to report this week. I have been feeling under the weather since about Wednesday with some sort of cold/cough, but it appears to be clearing up now.

Today I went to Pixars 20 years of animation exhibition at Federation Square in Melbourne. I Found it really interesting. If anyone is in Melbourne I would recommend it, it is well worth the $15 entry fee. Don't bother trying to get the kids showbags though, the staff don't hand them out to big kids.

The exhibition had some great models & artwork from the incredibles, finding nemo, bugs life, some rodent based movie, as well as some lesser known australian animations

This weeks comic.. well it is a fart joke... what more needs to be said?

Enjoy
Ro http://www.penguinart.net/?p=43 http://www.penguinart.net/comic/20070708.gif Giant Penguins

Hi All

I'm busy as always this week. Aside from anything else, I think I keep giving myself too much work. But hey, If i didn't I'd probably waste all my time.

Incase anyone missed th HUGE penguin related news this week. Prehistoric remains fo a giant penguin have been found in Peru. Needless to say Penguin Art has not historically been a website that delivers penguin related news. Infact I don't think I have ever reallty delivered any kind of news, but hey, there is a first for everything.

This is what I found amusing..

Usually when you think of prehistoric animals you think of massive giant things like mammoths, dinosaurs or even giant wombats, many times the size of current animals. These MASSIVE prehistoric penguins were a whole 30 cm bigger than a modern Emperor Penguin.

Anyway, that was my news for the week, in other news, I would like to thank the people I work with for working so hard and (most likely) getting me on the work holiday by making your targets! Thanks Guys, look forward to sharing a long Island Ice Tea on the beach with you all.

Anyway, I have to finish off a website for a friend and make another one, and to make matters worse, my friends promised to buy me a mount (World of Warcraft speak, you can tune out now if you like), if I get to level 40 in the next 3 weeks. So I am going to have"..like.. no life" for the next 3 weeks :)

Later
Overlord Ro
http://www.penguinart.net/?p=42 http://www.penguinart.net/comic/20070701.gif Piece Of Art

Hi All

Southern Cross Station (or spencer st station to anyone born before 2000), got a design award this week. Now I admit it looks pretty impressive from the sky, but from underneath, it looks like a wavey grey roof. I am not saying it is bad or anything, I just quite see how "amazing" it is, at least from the perspective of a passenger. But make up your own mind, check out the station now

Speaking of which, the price of train tickets went up despite the service of the melbourne transport system consistently falling bellow expectations.

Anyway, enough of my whining, this weeks comic is just a little observation I noticed while dining in a restaurant on the weekend. The menus were in italian, and while trying to order I was reduced to pointing and saying "That one please", much like when I order at Thai or vietnamese places. All the meals did sound amazing though, and I guess it was because it was in italian, where as "steak & veggies" does not set the mouth watering to the same extent.

Well, I'm off, got some cleaning & stuff to do.

Later
Overlord Ro http://www.penguinart.net/?p=41 http://www.penguinart.net/comic/20070624.gif m>\n"; $i++; } ?>
